Circular Economy

A circular economy is an alternative to a traditional linear economy (make, use, dispose) in which we keep resources in use for as long as possible, extract the maximum value from them whilst in use, then recover and regenerate products and materials at the end of each service life.

  Carbon Capture & Storage Carbon capture and storage (CCS) is the process of capturing and storing carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) before it is released into the atmosphere. The technology can capture  up to 90%  of CO 2  released by burning fossil fuels in electricity generation and industrial processes such as cement production. CO 2  can be captured using different methods. The main ones are: post-combustion, pre-combustion and oxyfuel.   Competition for talent As demand grows for new and emergent  skills , including UX design, cybersecurity, and data science, workers around the world — and labor markets — are struggling to keep up.  According to a recent  survey  conducted by the World Economic Forum, nearly eight in 10 global CEOs say they’re concerned about the availability of people with the right skills. So far, organizations have responded by engaging in a war for talent — that is, buying or stealing it, rather than growing it from within. As they compete to fill roles, many have been willing to spend billions on recruiting (or poaching), while reluctant to invest in training their existing workers or unskilled ones, perhaps out of fear their competitors will hire those newly attractive employees away.  Demand for skills as people retire early and pay levels depressed.
